Our Mission At The Academy of St. Benedict

We believe each child is a unique person with individual characteristics, learning styles and experiences. It is this uniqueness that we foster and help to develop cognitive, socially and emotionally.

The Academy of St.Benedict the African provides excellent faith- based education for children in preschool through grade eight.
Our school is certified by the Illinois State Board of education and the Archdiocese of Chicago Office of Catholic Schools.

Family First

The Academy of St. Benedict works in partnership with our parents to balance work, family and, educational efforts. Opportunities for families to actively participate in their child’s development are encouraged and made available through the following way:

• Classroom Visitation
• Parent Meeting and Workshops
• Bible Study
• Field Trips
• Parent Teacher Conference (3 times a year)
• Volunteer opportunities such as, “” Parents-In-Action”
• Counseling Services for Students And Families
